New York City is known as “The Big Apple” and “The Capital of the World.”

It is a real melting pot where every country in the world is represented by at leas one person. Due to its rich diversity, it is not rare to hear people talking in different languages and speaking English with a certain accent adding interest and fascination to locals and visitors.

Our city is made up of 5 boroughs (counties) and our school is located in a very strategic spot in Kings County (better known as Brooklyn). The area is residential as well as commercial, so you will be able to find almost everything you need within walking distance. You will find from coffee shops to fast food restaurants to ethnic restaurants; from the small corner store to supermarkets, drugstores, and pharmacies. There are also several banks nearby and public transportation is available day and night (buses and trains run very frequently).

The City of New York is well known for exclusive shops on Fifth Avenue, elegant restaurants, Broadway shows, and museums and art galleries. However, it is not necessary to spend a fortune. There are also many affordable department stores and small shops, informal restaurants and diners, and several shows off Broadway.

If you enjoy the outdoors, you will not need to get out of the city since Central Park in Manhattan (843 acres) and Prospect Park in Brooklyn (585 acres) offer you the possibility to practice a good number of sports, have picnics and barbecues or attend a free concert depending on the season. Besides, there are three zoos two botanical gardens and an aquarium.

If you are looking for excitement wile attending school, come to NYC, study English at UCEDA and conquer The Big Apple.
